Woolloongabba is an inner-southern suburb of Brisbane, close to the river and the Pacific Motorway. That combination makes it a genuinely quick exit north towards the Sunshine Coast and the Fraser Coast, or south towards the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales.

The depot is a short drive from the CBD and from Brisbane Airport via the Airport Link and Clem7 tunnels, and it sits beside the M1 for both directions of the coast.
